- Mining company database app: properties, ownership, deposits with contained metal, drill holes and assays. An AI Putty example you can copy and change.
Mining company database: deposits and drill holes
A mining company database for investors, geologists and analysts who follow junior miners and want one view of what a company owns and what's in the ground. It's a live example built with AI Putty from one request: "Create a domain model for a mining company: its properties and claims, the deposits and their resource estimates, drill programs with holes and assays, and who owns what." You can import it into your own project and change it by talking to your AI.
Pick a company
A row of buttons at the top picks one company: Frostline Resources, Copperhead Mining or North Royalty. Below it, the company's name, exchange and ticker, what kind of company it is (explorer, developer, royalty…) and its head office.
Totals for that company: how many Properties and Claims it holds, its share of each metal in the ground (such as Gold (oz), its share or Copper (t), its share), and how many Drill holes it has.
Properties and deposits
One card per property, with the jurisdiction, the number of claims, the share the company owns and the stage.
Deposits: each resource estimate on the property, with its commodity, category (measured, indicated or inferred), tonnes and grade. Contained is all the metal in it, in ounces for a grade in g/t and in tonnes for a grade in %. Its share is the company's part, by its ownership %.
Drill holes and assays
Drill holes: each hole on the property, newest first, with its year, depth, how many assays it has and the best intercept: the assay interval with the most grade times length, shown as metres @ grade from depth. A hole with no assays says awaiting assays.
Add an assay (members): pick a Hole of the company shown, give From (m) and a deeper To (m), the Grade and the Unit (g/t or %), then Add.
Examples
"What's the best hole Frostline has drilled?" Pick Frostline Resources and read Best intercept under Frost Lake. In the sample data, FL-26-001 has 14.0 m @ 3.40 g/t from 112.0 m. Its 2 m @ 11.2 g/t is higher grade but shorter, so it scores lower on grade times length.
"How much copper does Copperhead really own?" Pick Copperhead Mining. Red Butte Porphyry contains about 504 k tonnes of copper, and the company owns 80% of the property, so Its share is about 403 k t.
"Why is North Royalty's gold share so small?" It owns 20% of Kestrel, so it gets a fifth of the Kestrel North ounces.
Make it yours
Ask your AI to import it (see Mining): "import the mining app from examples". Your project gets the model, the app, this help and the three sample companies, and from then on it's yours to change. Then, say:
- "Add the companies I follow"
- "Load this drill-results press release as assays"
- "Show the deposits on a map"
- "Add the azimuth and dip to the drill-hole table"
How it's built
Five classes: a company, a property (claims in one jurisdiction, owned in part by a company), a deposit (a resource estimate on a property), a drill hole and an assay (one interval down a hole). The model computes a deposit's contained metal and the company's share, and an assay's length and grade times length; the page only picks each hole's best one. See MiningDesign for the layout and Mining for all the parts.
